Environmental testing of automobiles requires additional consideration of the facility where the chamber will be installed, and its planned use. Test methods for vehicles can include additional conditions besides temperature and humidity in an attempt to simulate real-world conditions.

HAST (Highly Accelerated Stress Test) chambers reduce the time it takes to complete humidity testing for semiconductors. By elevating temperatures above 100°C and increasing the pressure, simulation of normal humidity tests can be made while maintaining the same failure mechanisms. The system controls temperature from ambient to +200°C and achieves vacuum levels down to 10⁻⁷ torr, with spare ports, feedthrough options, calibrated gauges, and both roughing and turbo pumps. It includes vent and purge valves, molecular getters, and a Vacuum Cycle Controller that automates vacuum and temperature control with customizable recipes, integrated valves and gauges, data logging, and remote access.

The accelerated weathering test simulates the atmosphere with sunlight (UV mode), dew (condensation mode), rain (thermal shock) and rain + UV (thermal shock and UV).
